HOBART: Australia continued their mastery over England as they are also leading the Twenty20 series 1-0 winning the first T20 of the three-match series by 13 runs here at the Bellerive Oval on Wednesday.
Cameron White, for his powerful hitting at the top of the order earned him the Man of the Match.
Australia chipped at the wickets as Coulter-Nile bagged a four-fer. He was well backed up by some brilliant fielding as the Aussies held on to their catches, unlike England. They go 1-0 up with two games to go.
England have once again got off to a losing start, something of a habit for them on this tour.
Some massive hitting in a very high scoring game but Australia once again, have emerged victorious. England showed great spirit to attempt such a massive chase with Bopara almost taking them through but in the end, it was just way too much.
The batting never got going as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Bopara showed tremendous heart to keep England in the hunt but the task at hand was a bit too much for him.
The second T20I will be played at the MCG, Melbourne on Friday.
